Three Things to Consider Before Returning Your Rental Instrument

Summer break is just around the corner, which means you may be on the fence about whether to return your child’s rental instrument. Here are four quick tips to help your decision process.

1. Give your child’s brain a workout.

Continuing to play an instrument over the break is a great way to flex those brain muscles in a creative way while school isn’t in session. Research has shown the wide-ranging benefits playing music has for childhood cognitive development, from enhanced language and literacy rates to improved creativity and memory. 2. Be ready to go by next fall.

Don’t let the hard work your child has built all year slip away. By continuing those healthy practicing habits for even a few minutes a day, your child can continue to build on the progress they have accumulated in class all year. Enjoy the same month-to-month plan and continue all of that hard work!

3. Or, try something new!

Did you know you can exchange your instrument at any time at Ward-Brodt Music? Many students find the right instrument for them through trial and error, and summer break can be a perfect opportunity to explore what instrument fits your child best. Talk to your music teacher (or one of our music experts!) if your child is interested in discovering something new!
