Ludwig introduces the Pat Petrillo LP4 Practice Pad designed to strengthen and reinforce hand and wrist motion for all drummers. The LP4 Pad is the first of its kind, with 3 different playing levels and 4 different playing surfaces.
The new Ludwig LP4 fits neatly on top of your snare drum, table top or lap. The LP4 can also be attached directly into the snare stand basket or has a receiver to fit on the top of a cymbal stand. "Each pad has a unique sound and feel, corresponding to the playing characteristics of different drums and cymbals" says Jim Catalano, Director of Sales & Marketing for Ludwig. Pat Petrillo has been successfully using the P4 for practice and teaching at the Drummers Collective in New York for a few years, and now everyone has the opportunity to experience the feel and dexterity development that the P4 Pad can offer. "Each pad surface has a different pitch to it, and it is a lot of fun to play", says Pat Petrillo. As an introductory offer, the LP4 Pad will also be shipped with a free pair of drumsticks.
Work on technique, stick control, speed and endurance with this deluxe practice pad! The pad can be screwed onto a cymbal stand or practice pad stand, or used for practice on any table top.
LP is pleased to celebrate Antonio Sanchez' ascendancy in the hierarchy of musicians with the new LP Antonio Sanchez Percussion Pack (1204-AS). Antonio Sanchez came to prominence with guitarist/composer Pat Metheny. The groundswell of accolades and adulation grew into a phenomenon of the Americas: Rarely in popular jazz has a drummer so intricately combined percussion and drumset, crafting rhythms that challenge the technical limits of conventional drumming, causing mortal drummers to scratch their heads in disbelief.
The new percussion pack contains two of Antonio's favorite LP percussion instruments. First is a tambourine, an instrument that chimes to the churches and heartland evinced in Pat Metheny's “Americana" compositions. Antonio has chosen the LP174 Cyclops Tambourine in sleek black with contrasting dimpled brass jingles. Mountable at an angle convenient to the drumset player, the Cyclops is playable with sticks, mallets or hands. Second is the LP1204 Piccolo Jam Block , a small but tremendously significant instrument in Antonio's arsenal. It enables him to play innumerable timbres, from the Afro-Cuban clave to the tones of ancient wood blocks and even snare drum rim clicks. In Antonio's hands, it is no mere metronome! With these two, Antonio Sanchez creates his unbelievable rhythmical and sonic variations.
Included with the LP Antonio Sanchez Percussion Pack is the Gibraltar AM-1 Mounting Bracket , a universally acclaimed unit with a long knurled post that slides up and down and locks into position by means of an eye-hole receiver. It will hold the tambourine or jam block atop or below the horizontal bar, which attaches to a variety of hardware tubes or cymbal stands. The percussion pack comes in a reusable box with flexible plastic handle for convenience.
The LP Antonio Sanchez Percussion Pack 1204-AS will appeal to Latin, world, fusion, singer-songwriter, and rock players seeking to capture Antonio's elusive sounds.
