Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Linda began herpiano studies at the age of 7. A classical musician, she received her Bachelorof Music degree from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. After graduating from theConservatory, she continued her studies at Northwestern University,where she received a Master’s Degree in Piano performance. During her studentyears, Linda won several competitions in the Chicago area and performed widely.

Linda hastaught all ages and levels from age 5 to older adults, and enjoys this varietyand the ability to gear her teaching accordingly, recognizing each student as aunique individual. Linda spent several years teaching via the Suzuki Method withyounger students, as well as the more traditional methods. She has taught atvarious colleges, both class piano and private studio lessons, and also hadlarge classes of private student over the years.

Jim Erickson is a long-time Madison area composer/pianist.
Heholds a masters degree in classical piano performance and a bachelorsin jazz piano performance, both from The University of Wisconsin,Madison.  His compositions and recordings for advertising have wonseven local Addys and two national awards.  In 2007 Jim released aneclectic solo piano CD made up of originals and standards entitled“Mixed Messages”.  The Capital Times voted it “Best Local Solo JazzAlbum” for 2007.

Jim is the leader of the popular, “Jim EricksonTrio”, featured by: Overture After Work, Overture Gala, Isthmus JazzFestivals and other local venues.  As a sideman Jim has been featuredwith Jimmy Owens and Kenny Davis in New York City, and Roscoe Mitchellin Madison and Chicago.

Shestudied with Dr. Bob L. Bennett and Ena Bronstein at California StateUniversity, Fresno.  Bronstein was a student of Raphael De Silvia andClaudio Arrau.  Janet enjoys playing chamber music and has accompaniedmay instrumentalists and vocalists.  She has written a book, “ThePleasure of Piano teaching: A Curriculum Guide” (as yet unpublished),and has taught students of all ages for over 25 years.
