Brian has studied music theory, music history, piano, and classical
guitar. He attended St. Norbert College from 1989-1990 and received his
B. A. in music from UW-Madison in 1994. In addition to guitar, Brian
enjoys singing, playing percussion and ballroom dancing, which he
taught for Wisconsin Union Mini Courses. He studied classical guitar
with Rick Soens at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, and with Javier
Calderon at UW-Madison. Brian performed in a rock band in high school
and believes the experience has helped him to become a better teacher.
His work as a ballroom dance instructor has also contributed to his
excellence as a music teacher.Brian teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced guitar in any style.

Rockwell Rice received his Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Wisconsin in 2008. Rockwell has taught all age groups and proficiency levels. His focus is on developing students into musicians, not just guitar players. He believes that a full musical training allows students to focus on whatever style of playing that they choose and also gives them the knowledge to venture into different areas of music with confidence.
